As clinics are organized, they will be listed here. All of our coaches and assistant coaches are encouraged to attend these clinics to improve their knowledge of soccer skills, strategies, and coaching methods.
If You have been identified by our club as being a head coach or an assistant coach for the 2024/25 Vernon United FC program you are required to complete the Soccer for Life Grassroots certification. To obtain full certification, you will need to complete The Online Theory Component (Part 1) + The On-Field Practical Workshop (Part 2). To begin this process, please complete the following steps below:
The Online Theory Component (Part 1)
Step 1: Create A Coach Centre Account
- CLICK HERE to create an account or login if you have an existing account.
- Once logged in, click the My Profile > Profile tab in the top left corner of the page.
- Update your email and other contact details on your profile.
- Click Submit.
Step 2: Complete The Online Theory Component Via Canada Soccer
- You will need to purchase a key code from Canada Soccer to access the online theory component. At this point you will be required to make a payment of $31.50 to complete the registration for the online theory. NOYSA will reimburse you for this cost once you complete the certification, please keep a record to prove your purchase.

- IMPORTANT: Please make sure when registering for a Canada Soccer SmarterU account that your name and email are identical to your name and primary email on Coach Centre
- Please make sure that you select North Okanagan Youth Soccer Association when registering for a Canada Soccer SmarterU account.
- Complete the Coaching Soccer In Canada Module + Soccer for Life Online Theory Module.
IMPORTANT:
· You will be given access to the Online Theory Grassroots module only after you have completed the Coaching Soccer In Canada Module.
· It may take up to 1 week to receive credit for the Online Theory Grassroots certification in
Coach Centre.
The On-Field Practical Workshop (Part 2)
*Dave Broadhurst will confirm the date for this and you will be able to register at that point provided you have completed the online component.
The on field practical component will take place early 2025.
